Both sexes are equally affected, most commonly between the fifth and seventh decades of life. The diagnosis of adrenal myelolipoma is mostly incidental. The term “myelolipoma” was coined by Oberling in 1929. Most of the early studies described it as an incidental autopsy finding or as occasional case reports.
